Blog break

My lovely wife Martha and I are going to Cancun to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, so I don’t plan to blog until March 18th. FWIW in the prediction department: I think that at some point the Senate will pass a biggish deal that addresses Social Security, Medicare, Taxes, etc and that it will pass with 70+ votes, serving to pressure the House of Representatives (a la the Fiscal Cliff deal). I think the whip operation in the House will be one for the ages, for both sides. There may be hints of all this as I sun in Cancun. I am determined not to blog about it while there!
